Art Retreats
The drama and beauty of the South of France offers a refreshing view of the world for guests looking for a creative retreat. All ability levels are welcomed.
The Château compound, which includes the adjacent Villa Marguerite and six acres of historic gardens, offers indoor and outdoor studios, as well as lecture, performance, and instructional spaces. It also provides lodging, common areas, and food preparation facilities for participants and instructors to enjoy.
Workshop and program participants are welcome to take the guided tour of the Henry Clews Museum and to attend, free of charge, any of the public cultural events that occur during their stay at the Château. There are also many museums, historic sites, and cultural attractions nearby.
ATTEND A RETREAT
The Château de La Napoule is the perfect retreat for artists of all disciplines. Spend mornings sculpting on the beach and afternoons painting in the gardens. Meander through the region’s countless museums or travel by boat or train to nearby islands and perched villages, discovering fresh inspiration every day.
HOST A RETREAT
Whether your group is discussing art history or practicing advanced painting techniques, the Château de La Napoule, with its amazing views and historical charm, is a wonderful place to study and learn. For more information about organizing and hosting your workshop, contact us!
LODGING
Participants are primarily housed in the recently renovated historic Italianate Villa Marguerite. The Villa includes 18 guestrooms, each with its own bath and view of the sea or gardens that surround the gated property. Additional accommodations for up to 12 guests are available in the West Wing of the Château.
MEALS
Meal plans are customized according to the specific needs of each group. Continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be arranged daily or for selected meals and dates during the program. Meals are served in the Château’s gothic dining room, Villa dining rooms, at the seafront terrace, or under a canopy in the gardens of the Villa Marguerite. A small kitchen is also available for use by participants anytime. Grocery stores, bakeries, and several restaurants are within easy walking distance of the Château.
